Dear Red Earth Creek School Families,

On behalf of the entire Peace River School Division, my thoughts are with each of you as you navigate the challenging circumstances of being required to evacuate from your homes. We understand that many of you have been directed to the Baytex Energy Centre in Peace River, and we recognize the immense stress and uncertainty this brings to families.

Knowing how incredibly stressful and disruptive these times can be, we want to extend a small measure of normalcy, and support the continued learning of your children, by opening the doors of our Peace River schools to your families. This is entirely an option for you to consider, designed to ease some of the burden during this period of upheaval.

Should you feel that having your child attend school would be helpful during your time in Peace River, please know that our principals and staff are ready to welcome them. If this is something that could provide comfort or support for your family, we encourage you to reach out directly to the principals of École Springfield Elementary School, T.A. Norris Middle School, Peace River High School, or Peace Regional Outreach Campus. They will be able to assist you with any arrangements.
